ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and manage the controls and risk mitigations to ensure Springer Nature’s compliance with legislation such as Modern Slavery Act, German Supply Chain Act, CSRD data collection, data validated and risk management regarding supply chain complianceÂ
• Collect and validate data in good time for internal and external reportsÂ
• Regular exposure to group senior management via the Business Partner Steering CommitteeÂ
• Design and deliver training for Regional Risk and Compliance OfficersÂ
• Design e-learning for all-staff regarding our supply chain compliance strategyÂ
• Primary responsibility for data validation on Springer Nature’s due diligence platform (SNICS)Â
• Use SNICS and supplier audit data to measure the company’s progress against external reporting requirements.Â
• Primary contact for all Risk, Audit and Assurance activity regarding supply chain compliance – including our external and internal audit teamsÂ
• Manage the annual supplier audit program and attend supplier audits as necessary.Â
• Management of multiple stakeholders, developing sustainable, long-lasting relationships across all areas of the internal business and our supply chain.Â
• Stay informed about upcoming laws and regulations relating to supply chain and sustainability to ensure that Springer Nature’s supplier risk management process complies with legal and regulatory requirements.Â
