Description:
REQUIREMENTS
- 4-6 years of Compliance Experience in a Wholesale Bank, preferably with experience in the areas of Corporate Banking and Trade Finance.
- Broad experience in AML, CFT, transaction monitoring, and onboarding.
- Prior experience liaising with local regulators and auditors.
- Strong skills in communication, analytics, problem-solving, and operational processes.
- University degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Compliance-related certifications preferred e.g. Diploma in Compliance from ICA or ACAMS.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is an absolute advantage as this role liaises closely with our HQ on reporting, policies, implementation, etc.
- Strong relationship-builders, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Compliance team strategically to ensure the bank is always compliant with the applicable rules and regulations.
- Spearheaded the improvement of the existing Compliance procedure.
- Manage and own end-to-end KYC, Account Opening, CDD, Transaction Monitoring, and other Compliance processes.
- Conduct in-depth due diligence background checks and screening on prospects (including staff), clients, and counterparties to identify the risks of the client or counterparty and the Bank.
- Investigate suspicious transactions and make necessary recommendations to senior management to file the appropriate suspicious transaction reports to CAD and MAS.
- Liaise with front-line staff for new onboarding and periodic reviews.
- Manage regulatory matters, including relationships and correspondence with regulators, regulatory examinations, and implementation of new regulations.
- Liaise with regulators and auditors on all regulatory-related matters.
- Update guidelines and notices from the MAS, interpret and apply them to internal compliance controls and policies, and disseminate them to staff and management.
- Coordinate and update Compliance Manuals.
- Prepared compliance curriculum and conducted training for all staff in the bank.
- Oversee the FATCA and CRS due diligence and reporting.Undertake any other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by management.
