Valiant Residential is looking for a hardworking, dynamic Compliance Manager to oversee all compliance aspects of the HUD and LURA portfolio. The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented individual accustomed to working on a deadline driven schedule. This onsite position will work from our Dallas, Texas Headquarters. This person must have the ability to function autonomously while also working in conjunction with coworkers located throughout the country. Monitoring and implementing changes in HUD and LURA regulations and requirements Maintaining proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LURA regulations. From the beginning you will prepare and submit the applicable management agent application documents and oversee the future communication with the operations team and HUD reporting. This role will be familiar with current U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ever changing Federal Regulations as they relate to our clients particular HUD and LURA reporting needs as well as train onsite team members on rules and regulations.
What you will be responsible for:
- Collects all documentation needed for HUD 2530 Management approval process
- Manages 9832 Management Entity Profile and 9839b Project Owner’s/Management Agent’s Certification
- Administrator for setup and user maintenance of Secure Systems
- Supervises and responds to all annual MOR and REAC reviews
- Attends and coordinates annual MOR and REAC reviews upon request
- Acts as point of contact for all associates and external HUD offices
- Submits HUD OCAF increase approvals working with contract administrators
- Facilitates annual financial documents for client reporting
- Master recordkeeper of HUD Tracker
- Ensures all properties understand HUD programs
- Provides guidance to on-site associates as it relates to HUD compliance and policies
- Participates in company-provided training
- Remain HUD compliant for all required certifications
- Willing and ready to support various departments on projects as compliance calendar permits
- Maintaining knowledge of all relevant HUD regulations and requirements, as well as changes to those regulations, and communicating these changes to property management staff.
- Working closely with property management staff to address any issues or concerns related to HUD compliance, and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Oversee with site team annual green program audits as part of HUD requirement
- Conducting regular audits of tenant files to ensure they are in compliance with HUD regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
What you will have to be a candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in HUD compliance
- Previous experience with HUD’s APPS system
- Excellent attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of HUD market rate and LURA compliance
- Willing and able to work onsite Monday-Friday (not a remote or hybrid position)
- Strong Microsoft office skills
