We are seeking the potential to join our OFS - Instrument Manufacturing (IM). The role entails high-frequency engagements with senior management, and working-level team members, therefore, offers a great opportunity for candidates to gain knowledge and perspective of business at multiple levels.
As a Materials Engineer will be representing OFS - IM team in handling, sourcing, qualifying and purchasing the components and collaborating with NPI Engineering, Procurement and Production Engineering team on operational, strategic and identifying of quality and check on the performance and negotiating costs on materials with the existing or new suppliers. And have the opportunity to develop professional partnerships, coordinate and execution of tactical strategy and feedback on the key business.
Job responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical & electro-mechanical or electrical parts procurement engineering environment, supplier quality management, and/or product engineering, manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in sourcing, procurement, process engineering or supplier quality management in an MNC manufacturing environment.
  • Have an analytical mind to evaluate technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment.
  • Experienced in mechanical & electrical parts manufacturing/fabrication processes or std. design specification with good analytical skills on DFx. Must be proficient in technical drawing (2d & 3d mechanical drawings) interpretation, understand BOMs.
  • Knowledge of Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) regulations
