Commercial Express is on a trajectory of fantastic growth, with ambitious plans for the future and are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our thriving MGA Business!
Responsibilities:
This is a key role in implanting our compliance strategy and maintaining high-quality service for stakeholders. As Compliance Officer you will support the Head of Compliance in ensuring Commercial Express is adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the business is meeting the requirements applicable its capacity as a Lloyds Coverholder. Maintain regulatory policies, procedures and processes to ensure they support the business in satisfying regulatory requirements and reflect operations appropriately. Ensure version controls are being maintained, and the Lloyds ATLAS system is kept up to date.
- Enhance and maintain a compliance culture within the business providing sound compliance advice to business stakeholders. Escalate material compliance issues to the Head of Compliance on identification, with analysis of impact, criticality and remedial options.
- Maintain the Financial Crime Framework and support the business to ensure compliance with the FCA’s Financial Crime Guide, monitoring first-line controls for effectiveness against financial crime and fraud mitigation.
- Develop training materials on a range of compliance topics. Delivery of regulatory training to the business ensuring awareness of relevant legislation and practices.
- Monitor business performance on the identification, notification and handling of potential breaches, considering if external regulatory breaches may have occurred. Ensure all breaches are being handled in accordance with internal SLA’s and tracking remedial action through to completion.
- Advise on Financial Sanctions queries, ensuring compliance with all internal standards and external legislation.
- Maintain the Conflicts of Interest register and ensure mitigating controls are recorded where conflicts of interest are identified.
- Assist with handling of complaints received by the business in accordance with, regulatory, internal and Insurer requirements.
- Assist with Sign Off of customer documentation, policy wordings, summaries of cover and IPIDs ensuring regulatory and Insurer obligations are being met.
- Ensure robust record keeping, compliance with GDPR, enhance and uphold data security processes.
- Assist the Head of Compliance with the preparation of regulatory returns, reporting and general communications or engagement with the regulatory authorities. Support projects relating to FCA thematic reviews, Annual Compliance Plan, ensuring all allocated tasks are completed within the required timescales. Support with errors and omissions management of reported issues.
