REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following experience, knowledge and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, preferably in the insurance / reinsurance / financial services industry
  • Understanding of compliance requirements in the insurance / reinsurance sector
  • Strong knowledge of the Insurance Act, General Insurance Association of Singapore‘s guidelines, MAS notices and guidelines, and related legislations
  • Mature and independent worker with very good stakeholder management capability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and across functions

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

The successful applicant will:

  • Implement a comprehensive Compliance Management System to manage compliance risks for the Company. This includes promoting a culture of compliance across the organisation, carrying out compliance risk analysis, providing staff training, performing compliance monitoring activities and preparing compliance reports for local and ERGO Group management.
  • Provide compliance advisory to management having regard for legal requirements, regulations and ERGO Group’s policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor changes in insurance regulations and other legislative developments which could impact the Company and provide advice to management to implement necessary changes.
  • Implement robust policies and procedures and monitoring activities for data protection, Anti-Money Laundering / Countering of Financing of Terrorism, and sanction screening to ensure adherence to regulatory and Group requirements. Undertake the role of Data Protection Officer.
  • Manage and assist with investigations such as complaint investigations and market conduct investigations.
  • Act as the point of contact in regulatory liaison matters and handle requests from regulators.
  • Perform annual review of outsourcing arrangements and report the results to management
  • Keep up-to-date the register of the Company’s policies and procedures and monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
