JOB TITLE: Compliance Officer
The Compliance Officer is a vital support role in the small Head Office Compliance Team and helps to protect the business from regulatory risk. This is achieved by ensuring that the company’s processes are consistently applied, and a wide variety of regulatory and legislative requirements are met. There is scope to develop the role beyond the immediate tasks and to contribute to the efficient running of the business.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS:
- Must be confident and credible, especially when dealing with peers, senior colleagues and external customers.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and act in a discreet manner at all times, regarding information in their possession.
- Must be able to demonstrate competent research skills and be fully conversant with company procedures and databases utilised in relation to social responsibility processes.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be highly organised.
- Must be proficient in using MS Office, possess intermediate to advanced IT skills in normal
- Microsoft applications (Word, ExCel, Visio, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and Outlook) and Adobe applications.
Responsibilities:
ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Facilitating the Compliance Managers with User Acceptance Testing
- Maintenance of training records
- Support to lead on special projects through research, analysis and preparing documentation for presentation
