Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Compliance Support Officer enables the day-to-day management and delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Programme and supports the active maintenance and development of the Management System. The Compliance Support Officer creates weekly and monthly deliverables in addition to working with members of the Flight Operations, Ground Operations, CAMO and Safety team to assure compliance and improve efficiency throughout the organization.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Management, Compliance/Quality or Safety Management or related degree required, or an equivalent level of industry experience/qualification
  • Previous experience Compliance Monitoring in aviation
  • Trained and certified Auditor (training may be provided to those with relevant experience and attributes)
  • Familiarity with Safety & Compliance software

REQUIRED / DESIRED SKILLS

  • Able to read and interpret regulations, manuals, and technical procedures, including EASA Regulations
  • Experience working within an AOC & CAMO construct, including working with Aviation Regulators
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write effective reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to speak publicly and present on the individual level, senior management level, and to large audiences, including employees and industry professionals
  • Must be detail oriented with a proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives within a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the Safety and Compliance Director with daily administration of the Compliance Monitoring Function to ensure active and timely processing and analysis of audits, findings and regulatory updates
  • Performs internal audits, to review and determine the levels of compliance with appropriate regulations, standards and policies, and to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepares compliance analysis information, including charts and reports
  • Follows up on findings and actions to support timely and effective closure
  • Assists in creation of Safety and Compliance Department publications
  • Supports the updates to internal manuals and procedures, including compliance checks and reviews
  • Support the conduct of Safety and Compliance Meetings, including taking of minutes
  • Additional tasks as directed by the Safety and Compliance Director

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to:

  • Physical demands may require a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) along with various office equipment
  • Must be able to visually and aurally assess conditions
