COMPONENTS AND PROGRAMME ENGINEER

Do you possess a robust understanding of engineering principles and have a broad knowledge of power station systems? If so, this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The engineer reports to their Group Head and will ensure that the Company Technical Standards, Tech Specs and management control processes are correctly applied and adhered to. The principal accountabilities are:

  • An awareness of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements ensuring that all activities are carried out with full regard to Site Licence requirements (LC 15, 23, 28), statutory regulations and Company standards.
  • To specify maintenance on their assigned plant to ensure costs are optimised and reliability is effective whilst maintain the systems safety functions.
  • Build effective networks and negotiate and influence effectively towards the achievement of business objectives.
  • Manage projects or act as the customer for projects ranging from low to high complexity, managing and leading diverse multi-disciplined teams.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge within the candidate’s core discipline whilst cross skilling into other disciplines, taking responsibility for your own training and development.
  • Where plant issues are identified provide technical expertise and knowledge to troubleshooting activities ensuring robust corrective actions are in place to correct issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Actively participate in the on-line and outage work planning processes providing engineering technical input as required ensuring prioritisation of work is based on the criticality of equipment and its potential impact on plant performance from safety, reliability and efficiency perspectives.
  • Identify, and address complex problems resulting in resolutions that demonstrate a balance of safety, regulatory compliance and sustainability
