G2 Enterprises Corp. is a locally owned business, proudly operating several successful companies in the towing and transportation industry. We support the leadership and overall management of the companies by providing expertise that assists the leadership teams in achieving their objectives. G2 also provides the back-office support including accounting, payroll and benefits, human resources, information technology, and strategic planning support.
We are looking to add a Compound Attendant to our team within the Astro Towing division.
Astro Towing has proudly been serving Saskatchewan for over 45 years, providing emergency roadside service, towing, accident and abandoned vehicle recovery, and hauling services to our community and partners. Our fleet operates a variety of equipment ranging from battery vans and light duty tow trucks to heavy wreckers and tractor-trailer units. We pride ourselves on being able to take on any job – big, small or complicated, delivering excellent customer service, operating safely and efficiently, and employing passionate professionals to meet the needs of our customers.
The Compound Attendant is responsible for assisting customers with accessing and retrieving their vehicles; works indoors and outdoors (regardless of the weather); is a liaison between various police services and SGI to reunite vehicles with their owners; manages paperwork for SGI Impounds, and maintains the compound ensuring a clean, organized, and professional image.
The ideal candidate is comfortable with basic vehicle maintenance such as boosting vehicles and air deliveries, enjoys interacting with people, communicates clearly, and loves working outdoors. We are looking for someone who is available to work 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Escorting customers through the yard to access or pick up their vehicles
  • Ensuring proper documentation is present when releasing vehicles
  • Confirming invoices for accuracy, processing and collecting payment from customers
  • Assisting customers with vehicle needs, such as providing a boost, to ensure a positive experience
  • Answering customer calls on a multi-line phone system and addressing compound-related calls
  • Clearly communicating procedures for accessing vehicles in the compound to customers
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy compound space including a daily walk-about and checking garbage and berms
  • Running daily reports for a list of all vehicles that arrived overnight and checking them for any open windows; closing the windows or tarping any that need to be addressed; recording which vehicles required attention and communicating to management
  • Ensuring blocks are stored in appropriate location
  • Cleaning containment berms and entering disposal charges into system
  • Checking storage entries daily for missing information and updating as needed
  • Checking compound reports for vehicles that can be applied for sale; removing license plates and completing proper paperwork
  • Following up on compound vehicles to find out who owns vehicles and working towards having them retrieved
  • Reviewing the ident bay; ensuring vehicles are processed in a timely manner
  • Appropriately filing and processing SGI impound letters; ensuring each letter is scanned and attached to the appropriate call in the system
  • Ensuring all SGI vehicles with permission to auction are communicated to management
  • Supporting other divisions by managing incoming calls
  • Helping with other duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned or required

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of customer-service experience
  • Passion for helping others with a positive, can-do, and fun-loving attitude
  • Computer savviness and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Comfort with basic vehicle maintenance such as boosting vehicles and air deliveries
  • Strong comprehension and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness and ability to stay calm under pressure and manage high-stress situations
  • Excellent organizational skills with a great attention for detail
  • Team-oriented attitude, desire to support others, and a willingness to “get stuff done” and keep busy
  • Ability to learn quickly and contribute to the greater good of a fast-paced office
  • Ability to diffuse and resolve conflict in a professional manner
  • Clear criminal record check
