REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

or

  • B.Sc in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum 5 years’ post-Bachelor related work experience
  • Note that alternate combinations of related education, certification, and work experience will be considered

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Post-secondary teaching experience

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Donald School of Business, Science and Computing is seeking a Full-Time Probationary Continuous Instructor to teach in the Computer Programming diploma program with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role as we expand our course and program offerings in Computer Science and Information Technology.

Responsibilities of Full-Time Faculty at the Donald School of Business, Science and Computing include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering courses congruent with established course curricula and program outcomes
  • Supporting the success of students with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and learning styles
  • Assessing student learning in ways that both facilitate learning and ensure achievement against appropriate academic standards
  • Inspiring students by exhibiting enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and subject material
  • Contributing to course and program curriculum development and renewal
  • Engaging in scholarly activity within the domains of Ernest Boyer’s model: scholarship of discovery, application, integration, and teaching
  • Working collegially within department, School, or Institution committees and project teams
