PART TIME - 21 HOURS PER WEEK.

We are looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE), open-ended Computing Officer in the Operations Section of the CMVM’s campus IS Team, based at our Easter Bush campus. This will be part of a job share with an existing member of staff, covering Wednesday - Friday.

WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES:

• Working in the Operation Section of the Easter Bush campus Information Services (IS) team, the role will focus on providing general and specialist IT support for the use of a wide range of IS and IT services by University of Edinburgh staff, students and visitors.
• This will involve the installation and support of desktop PC’s, software applications and AV equipment.
• The post holder will be expected to resolve most technical problems independently, with complex matters referred to senior colleagues where required.
• The team manage day-to-day workload using the Universities Unidesk call management system.You will be expected to implement solutions to problems, and work with the campus or other IS teams where this is required.
