Poste: Concepteur(rice) principal(e) - Ghostpunch Games
Québec, Canada
Le concepteur(rice) principal(e) chez Ghostpunch Games est chargé de comprendre la vision du projet et d’aider à réaliser cette vision en créant et en mettant en œuvre des fonctionnalités de jeu spécifiques.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Au moins 5+ ans d’expérience professionnelle en tant que designer senior multidisciplinaire.
Expérience professionnelle significative dans Unreal Engine 4/5. L’unité est un plus
Connaissance très approfondie des Blueprints UE4.
Solide connaissance du code et des langages de script tels que : C++, C#, Lua ou Javascript.
Travailler dans du code C++ natif ou au moins déboguer à l’aide de Visual Studio.
Connaissance des outils UE4, tels que les plans d’animation, l’arbre de comportement, le séquenceur, l’UMG et/ou le streaming de niveau.
Bonne méthodologie et capacité de résolution de problèmes, en mettant l’accent sur l’itération rapide pour atteindre l’équilibre, le rythme et le plaisir.
Très à l’aise avec les éditeurs de jeux et la compréhension des contraintes et des opportunités du moteur/jeu.
Communicateur efficace et collaborateur avec des ingénieurs et des développeurs d’autres disciplines, ainsi qu’une volonté de diriger des efforts multidisciplinaires ciblés.
Une curiosité naturelle pour tous les aspects du développement de jeux et une volonté de travailler sur une grande variété de systèmes de jeu.
Une forte passion pour le développement de jeux vidéo.
Portfolio solide, mis à jour et actuel avec des échantillons de votre travail.
Un haut niveau de qualité, non seulement pour votre propre travail, mais aussi pour l’évaluation des autres.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 5+ years of professional experience as a multidisciplinary senior designer.
Significant professional experience in Unreal Engine 4/5. Unity a plus
Very thorough knowledge of UE4 Blueprints.
Strong familiarity with code and scripting languages such as: C++, C#, Lua, or Javascript.
Working in native C++ code or at least debugging using Visual Studio.
Knowledge of UE4 tools, such as Animation Blueprints, Behavior Tree, Sequencer, UMG, and/or level streaming.
Good methodology and problem solving ability, with a focus on rapid iteration to achieve balance, pacing, and fun.
Very comfortable working in game editors and understanding engine/game constraints and opportunities.
Effective communicator and collaborator with engineers and developers from other disciplines, along with willingness to lead focused multidisciplinary efforts.
A natural curiosity for all aspects of game development and a willingness to work on a wide variety of game systems.
A strong passion for video game development.
Strong, updated, and current portfolio with samples of your work.
A high standard of quality, not only for your own work but for reviewing others.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have design credits on at least 1 published professional game and have participated in the design/development process of that game from inception to distribution.
Must have experience working with other product development disciplines (Art, Programming, etc.) in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead collaboration with Design, Engineering, Art, Animation, QA, and Audio team members to create functional, fun and visually compelling worlds that achieve unprecedented and immersive gaming experiences.
Work closely with and mentor members of design and engineering to support the needs of gameplay, for both your fellow designers and other disciplines.
Take ownership and responsibility for gameplay actor creation, level scripting, checkpoint and multiplayer support, scripting and tuning, creating debugging and testing tools, and contributing to overall game balance.
Integrate polished and satisfying feedback into gameplay systems through art, VFX, and audio hookups, collaborating successfully with these departments to integrate their work.
Contribute innovative and original ideas on all aspects of game production and development, providing constructive insight and feedback when needed.
