CONFERENCE AND EVENTS SALES MANAGER
Place of Work: Sales office at The Cork International Hotel located at Cork Airport Business Park
Report To: General Manager and to liaise with the Group Sales & Marketing Team for Trigon Hotels

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Event Co-ordination Extraordinaire: You’ll manage everything from weddings to conferences to special events. With our new ballroom, the sky’s the limit!
Guest Experience Guru: Ensure every event is seamless and spectacular, making each guest feel like a VIP.
- Sales Superstar: Work closely with our Central Sales & Marketing team for mentoring and support. You’ll learn from the best in the business!
- Monthly Pace Reporting: Keep us on track with regular updates on wedding, conference, and event segments. Your insights will be crucial for our success!

THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE ROLE:
- To analyse and generate all relevant business for The Cork International Hotel. Liaise with all clients, ascertaining their requirements and coordinating these needs to ensure the successful execution of all events (large or small).
- To ensure that all email and phone enquiries for meeting and events are answered within 2 hours of receiving the detail (this applies Monday - Friday)
- Take an active part and contribute to the weekly sales meeting and report on weekly & monthly C&E sales activity and revenues for the hotel
- Prepare monthly forecast reports for C&E revenues and report to the GM every Wednesday with the 3 month forecast data and CC the Central Sales & Marketing Team with this information.
- To ensure that all revenues converted at the hotel are profitable and are in line with budgets
- You will be required at times to assist with the workings of individual P&L’s for specific events
- Prepare monthly Top 10 client reports based on total C&E net revenue generated.
- As part of this role, there is a responsibility to work on four new lead generations per week for either the Central Sales & Marketing Team or Event Creation Role (of which 50% need to materialise into a worthwhile opportunity for the company)
- Taking responsibility when creating both individual and company profiles in the PMS to include all details from Company Name | Full Address | Company Contact Name | Contact Landline/Mobile | Company Email Address and in line with GDPR
- Updating company profiles in PMS with client notes & requests
- Co-ordinate all wedding business for The Cork International Hotel and prepare PACE reports.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of 2 wedding showcases at The Cork International Hotel each year
- Manage and co-ordinate the availability of up-to-date menus for all events liaising with the Head Chef at The Cork International Hotel.
- Utilise the company SOP on-site inspections and train all the relevant teams.
- To ensure the co-ordination of full office presence is agreed on for when office holidays are taking place.
- To monitor and control provisional and confirmed events bookings and ensure they are confirmed with us and that no double bookings occur.
- To ensure every event receives an event contract (all bookings) which must be signed by the client.
- To ensure where possible that all meeting and events space is setup in an appropriate fashion for all site inspections to ensure that best possible outcome and presentation.
- To assist with external shows and attend Trade Exhibitions and consumer shows to promote Trigon Hotels (mainly Leisure focused & local MICE) when requested.
- Attend weekly HOD meeting The Cork International Hotel and co-ordinate and prepare all detail for this meeting for this department.
