CONFERENCE COORDINATOR – DURBANVILLE, CAPE TOWN.
A leading national wealth and property investment company is looking for a “Conference Coordinator” to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices in Durbanville.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to become a part of the team at a beautiful, well-established hotel in Franschhoek.
The position will be based predominately at the company’s head office in Durbanville, however if the candidate is needed at the hotel (Chateau & Villas) based in Franschhoek, they will have to be willing to drive out to Franschhoek for site inspections or events.
While in training the candidate is also required to go to Franschhoek to get the feeling of the hotel (Chateau & Villas).
Responsibilities:
- Contacting potential leads from CRM system
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favourable terms
- Planning event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests
- Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time
- Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
- Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
- Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
Requirements:
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification in events management, hospitality management or similar
- 2 – 4 years’ experience
- Great communication skills
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Attention to detail
- Well-spoken and presented
- Social Media experience would be advantageous
