Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration and Data Management Engineer to lead and manage the Configuration & Data Management process. This role requires maintaining the integrity of our Configuration Database and ensuring that all engineering and technical documentation is accurately controlled and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee part number control, part master attribute control (serialization, traceability, quality clauses), and maintain the Aircraft Modification Index and As Build records.
  • Contribute to the planning, coordination, development and implementation of engineering projects
  • Act as a liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area (Manufacturing, Customer Support, Engineering, Sales and Supply Chain).
  • Provide specialized technical assistance to other Configuration Management team members.
  • Use advanced change management techniques to provide technical solutions for complex problems.
  • Manage the release function of Engineering documents and drawings.
  • Complete Data Transfer requests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Configuration and Data Management experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment required, preferably in Aerospace.
  • Must be able to develop processes, evaluate change requests, determine impact of change and provide guidance to ensure aircraft configuration is maintained.
  • Must be able to clearly and concisely present technical status to leadership.
  • Configuration Management (CM II) Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate cross functional discussions between Operations, Engineering, Customer support and Procurement functions.
  • General knowledge of aircraft design principles is considered an asset.
