ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Configuration Manager. This role will focus on ensuring consistent configuration, control, and management of their Core System. As the Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for managing and enforcing changes to the product while maintaining full traceability for product releases and documentation throughout its life cycle. Your scope includes overseeing version control of crucial components, such as software and hardware.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in roles related to configuration management.
  • Proficient in identifying areas that require configuration management control.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems and branching strategies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and their integration into configuration management processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collection and management of all configuration items for each release to ensure traceability across the entire life cycle.
  • Ensure that all configuration items are properly identified, tracked, reviewed, and approved as per the defined process.
  • Prepare and present the status of configuration items prior to each release at release meetings.
  • Conduct configuration audits to confirm that all releases are compliant with established configuration management processes, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of configuration management processes, guidelines, and procedures for the Core System.
