This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in conflicts management at Deloitte! We are seeking a Senior Consultant or a Manager to join our team, and are open to candidates based in Melbourne.
What will your typical day look like?
As a member of the Conflicts team within Deloitte’s Quality and Risk group, you’ll play a key role in providing crucial support and advice to ensure timely identification and management of conflicts of interest. You’ll thrive in an interactive, fast-paced environment where your day involves offering expert advice and solutions to help the business navigate conflicts, whether personal or business-related.
Day to day you’ll engage with partners and employees across the firm on various issues. You’ll discuss engagements impacting or involving third parties, conduct detailed conflict checks, and handle special contract terms such as probity and exclusivity. Managing conflicts declarations and addressing both commercial and personal conflicts will also be part of your role. You’ll also be involved in developing and producing documentation and frameworks for our teams and stakeholders, continually improving our processes and procedures to reflect best practices.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and other Deloitte employees to tackle complex scenarios. Your leadership in projects aimed at enhancing our processes, systems, tools, and documentation will be essential, driving improvements in our conflict management practices.
Training and educating our people on conflict matters will also be central to your role. You’ll equip colleagues with the knowledge and skills to handle conflicts effectively, and you’ll support team leaders in managing the team, including training and developing junior members.
This role offers a blend of strategic oversight, project leadership, and hands-on problem-solving, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about conflict management and risk mitigation.

3- 6 years of relevant work experience in a risk management function, ideally within professional services public accounting or financial services
The ability to interpret and understand policy and apply it to real-life scenarios
Strong interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills with an ability to present information clearly & professionally
Collaborative approach to work, a willingness to learn and engage with others in a meaningful way
Demonstrate an ability to troubleshoot and manage projects and processes, applying expertise to make appropriate decisions that impact the Firm.
