POST SUMMARY
The Conservator, Modern Collections, will join the team of staff in the Preservation & Conservation Department, which includes the Head of Preservation & Conservation, 4 conservators, 1 technical assistant. The department also has project conservator, interns and conservation student placements.

Responsibilities:
The specific purpose of this employment is to assist the Library Department’s preservation and conservation activities, specifically contributing to the stewardship strategy and the planning and implementation of preservation activities for the Library’s collection. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return to their role after a period of authorised leave. This contract is therefore issued on such objective grounds.
Hours of Post: 36.5 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Technical Officer Salary Scale (€38,345 - € 58,576 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
