Description:

FULL-TIME/PERMANENT

We are looking for an experienced Construction/Development Solicitor to provide expert legal guidance across construction and development matters.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal advice on construction and development matters, working with external solicitors as needed.
  • Ensuring sound governance in documentation, negotiation, and retention.
  • Streamlining processes to mitigate risks and reduce external legal costs.
  • Advising on long-term partnerships and assist with contract variations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate construction documents (JCT contracts, warranties, consultant appointments, etc.).
  • Supporting on property defects, environmental issues, and contractor insolvencies.
  • Advising on Building Safety Act compliance for current and future housing stock.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years PQE in Construction & Development Law.
  • Knowledge of Decent Homes Standards, Defective Premises legislation, and the Building Safety Act.
  • Experience with JCT contracts, warranties, NHBC, and structural defect issues.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
