Description:
FULL-TIME/PERMANENT
We are looking for an experienced Construction/Development Solicitor to provide expert legal guidance across construction and development matters.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice on construction and development matters, working with external solicitors as needed.
- Ensuring sound governance in documentation, negotiation, and retention.
- Streamlining processes to mitigate risks and reduce external legal costs.
- Advising on long-term partnerships and assist with contract variations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate construction documents (JCT contracts, warranties, consultant appointments, etc.).
- Supporting on property defects, environmental issues, and contractor insolvencies.
- Advising on Building Safety Act compliance for current and future housing stock.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years PQE in Construction & Development Law.
- Knowledge of Decent Homes Standards, Defective Premises legislation, and the Building Safety Act.
- Experience with JCT contracts, warranties, NHBC, and structural defect issues.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
