Description:
Our client is a leading developer who deliver high-quality residential developments across London. With a solid pipeline of projects, they are seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead their construction teams and ensure the successful delivery of their award-winning projects.
As the Construction Director you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the construction operations on RC frame and traditional build developments (although the majority will be RC frame). You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will be essential in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a Construction Director role, ideally within a Tier 1 developer or major contractor.
- Sound knowledge of RC frame and TB construction techniques along with multi-phase project delivery.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
- Relevant construction management qualifications (e.g., BSc in Construction Management, Chartered status).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all construction activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Lead and mentor site teams, promoting best practices in construction management, health and safety, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with Project, Commercial and Technical leads.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with supply chain and local authorities to facilitate project delivery.
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Report regularly to the Managing Director on project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
