POSITION DESCRIPTION (FULL TIME ON SITE)
WSP is currently seeking a Construction Document Coordinator to join our CENTRUS Site Service Team, located at our Ottawa project office. Reporting to the Site Service Team Manager this position will be responsible for the administration and technical work associated with supporting, maintaining and implementing the comprehensive Quality Assurance program for the design site service team.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a long-term renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. WSP (in joint venture) is providing a range of multidisciplinary consultancy services, including design management, engineering design and contract administration. WSP’s design and related site services scope extends well beyond a rehabilitation of Centre Block (CB) and the Peace Tower (PT) to include a large multi-level, below grade Parliamentary Welcome Centre (PWC) located immediately to the south of CB.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO HERE:
- Assists the Construction Contract Administrator (CCA) Project Managers and CCA leads for the design team with preparation of minutes of meeting, various reports, tracking of outstanding RFIs, Site instructions, Expenditure Authorizations, Field Observation Reports.
- Reviews submissions by the CCA leads, for conformance with the Contract Documents prior to processing documents.
- Tracks, monitors, and expedites submittals to ensure the CCA Leads have reviewed and returned them within the specified times.
- Efficiently manage the Submittals process in accordance with the construction and design contracts.
- Performs various work of moderate complexity requiring general knowledge of the architectural and engineering disciplines to implement the procedures prescribed in the Construction Administration manual.
- Assist the Document Control Team as required during peak periods / vacation absences, etc., in processing project documents and related QAQC process.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR CANADIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ENHANCED RELIABILITY CLEARANCE. THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT TO WORK WITH THIS CLIENT.
