Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer to be based in Chicago, IL.
This position is expected to begin in May 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans and specifications during construction.
  • Coordinate construction work activities with other members of the project team.
  • Performs field measurements of construction work items and calculates quantities of for contractor payment.
  • Prepares daily diaries and work reports, tracking workforce labor and equipment and working conditions
  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must have completed Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or any similar major, or have demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous exposure or strong interest in transportation infrastructure construction.
  • Knowledge in using CAD and MS Office.
