WHAT YOU WOULD ENGAGE IN:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineer with a strong background in civil earthworks. The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with hands-on experience in both design and site-based projects. The role is based in Sudbury ON, but may support fly-in-fly-out from one of our designated office locations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil earthworks projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Perform site inspections and provide on-site engineering support to ensure construction activities comply with design plans, contract commitments and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clint, engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Review dam safety instrumentation data/readings and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, project proposals, construction summary reports, and drawings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices in civil earthworks and construction engineering.
