Description:
Join the Polar Field Services, Inc. as a seasonal Arctic Construction Foreman - Lead Carpenter at Summit Station, Greenland. We’re seeking someone with carpentry experience to lead a crew while building and maintaining facilities. Have you been searching for adventure?

You will receive a $4.22 Health & Welfare benefit credit applied to the first 40 hours worked each week included in your weekly salary to offset costs. Plus, we’ll sweeten the deal by paying for all expenses while in and traveling to and from Summit Station.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ARCTIC CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN
We’re looking for an adaptable person with great communication skills who has the following qualifications:
- 6+ years of extensive carpentry experience, including design, rough framing, and finish carpentry
- 2+ years as a carpentry foreman, lead, or supervisor
- Experience working with and leading a diverse skilled trade team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety requirements
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Willingness to drive a snowmobile and other polar vehicles
- Valid passport and driver’s license
Experience working in remote, cold environments would be beneficial. Ironwork and structural steel building assembly experience would be an asset. Experience building commercial or industrial facilities is preferred but not required. Prior completion of accredited OSHA training courses and first aid training would be a plus!
