JOB DESCRIPTION: CONSTRUCTION TEAM MEMBER

Purpose: Perform construction tasks using safe and efficient practices.
Reports to: Site Supervisor or Team Leader
Skills/Attributes Required:
· Communicate effectively in English.
· Work reliably as an individual and within a team.
· Able to work in all weather conditions.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using proper technique.
· Have reliable transportation.
Education and Professional Skills: Post-secondary education in construction and/or a combination of training and work experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist in construction of greenhouse superstructures and installation of systems as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Team Leader.
· Uses personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
· Apply Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and company standards; immediately address workplace hazards/near-misses with supervisor
· Perform site preparation, remove debris and maintain a clean, organized work site.
· Load and unload construction materials.
· Distribute materials on work site according to specifications.
· Use, maintain, and store hand and power tools and equipment.
· Use measuring equipment for making accurate measurements.
· Use access equipment including lifting devices/platforms and ladders.
· Read and refer to documentation, drawings and specifications to perform tasks.
· Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure high quality workmanship and safety of the entire team; ask questions for clear understanding of tasks.
· Demonstrate accountability and teamwork to complete duties in a safe and efficient manner.
· Participate in training; communicate ideas for improved work efficiency.
· Attend and be punctual; inform Site Supervisor as soon as possible of late arrival/absence.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
