Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor/Associates degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent project experience
- 7 plus years of experience in project delivery within the construction industry, including pre-construction and contract closeout activities
- Experience on Demolition, Civil/Excavation, Retrofit, Restoration and/or Tenant Improvement projects is desired.
- PMP designation or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Competent interpreting construction documents and drawings
- Familiar with Microsoft Project
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer software
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- Strong leadership and management skills

Responsibilities:
- Determine and define scope of work and deliverables, advise on constructability.
- Develop complete tender packages
- Participate project meetings with contractors and consultants
- Communicate with project key stakeholders
- Manage costs in order to meet budget
- Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts (understanding of contract types and strategies)
- Manage construction schedule and activities; multiple projects
- Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
- Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
- Coordinate efforts across the entire project between regulatory bodies, architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Manage permit application process
- Assist with preparation and/or review of proposal submission documents
- Coordinate work with regulatory bodies and utility companies
- Manage and monitor contractor’s safety program and compliance
- Onsite construction management to monitor subcontractor activities at various locations throughout BC and Alberta
