Construction Manager works within the construction team to oversee temporary, semi-permanent and permanent builds. Will identify and oversee vendors/staff, maintain schedules and ensure milestones are met within this area across multiple projects.
Contract position; mid September 2024 - January 31, 2025
Responsibilities:
- Oversee assigned temporary to permanent builds/construction projects. Focus is on Civils related scopes and/or Structural engineering scopes
- Identify vendors and staff roles to successfully complete all tasks; source and contract aforementioned vendors and/or staff. Oversight of all vendors and staff on staff for this area of production.
- Maintain a detailed schedule and ensure milestones are met.
- Produce administrative reports for client presentations in timely and regular intervals.
- Strong skills in overseeing budgets, procurement processes, and budget tracking.
- Collate a comprehensive post-event report including after-action recommendations and data points.
- Report to Core team on scope status and regular updates on project schedules, timelines and completion.
- Ensure that all work conforms to pre-established specifications & standards of TAIT and it’s clients.
- Ensure health & safety standards are met including but not limited to review of RAMS documents, vendor and supplier’s detailed plans pre-and on site, regular check-ins with vendors on site and review and oversight of works
- Maintain ownership of scope lifecycle with suppliers including frequent inspections to ensure quality and deliverables are on track and being met
- Take initiative, multi-task, and work positively in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on completing scopes on time and on budget
- Work with discretion, diplomacy, confidentiality, and tact in high-pressure settings. Demonstrate a sense of urgency & act responsively.
- Collaborate with external partners including but not limited to engineering teams, permitting and government entities, contractors and clients
- Firm understanding of construction terminology and ability to communicate with contractors and engineers; however possess the ability to distill information into pedestrian language.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 10+ years experience with roadways, concrete, asphalt, trenching, earthworks, structures and buildings, etc.
- Past experience producing projects in the Middle East.
- Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Work with larger producer and production teams as well as client and vendors.
- Able to work well with high volume, while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer skills: Macintosh OS or Window platform using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

- Play a key role in communications with all stakeholders and all departments.
- Provide outside view to the team for POV and reference.
