- Responsibilities
- Communicating with the Construction Services Manager and the Projects Managers to determine the specific requirements of a work order for a contractor, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget for a particular assignment;
- Communication with the Project Manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues;
- Ensure that the services provided by contractors are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract.
- Provide expertise in resolving concerns that may arise during project activities;
- Control and monitor the progress of each project and initiate corrective actions when necessary;
- Ensure that site-specific documentation is developed in a timely manner;
- Coordinate with TC energy Operations personnel to ensure that all work on pipelines in service is carried out in a safe and controlled manner;
- Collaborate with the Engineering, Pipeline Integrity and Quality teams to review plans, drawings, procedures and technical documentation.
- Other tasks as required.
Minimum qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Shall hold a Bachelor’s degree in materials, mechanical, metallurgical, chemical engineering or Msc. in corrosion engineering.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry; At least 2 years’ experience in pipelines integrity inspection.
- Must have a Knowledge of internal and external corrosion mechanisms common to gas pipelines and corresponding pipelines corrosion Integrity management.
- A combination of experience and education may be considered
- Must be familiar with government regulations and industry codes and standards (NACE, API, ASME, etc.), specifically pipelines integrity.
