Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician

GESTRA Engineering is a full-service geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing company.
We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician who would be responsible for performing laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete and other engineering and construction materials. Laboratory Technician will assist Laboratory Manager’s, as needed.
Work is performed with considerable independence with the review of tests and procedures made by Senior Staff and Engineers for accuracy of results and conformance to established policies. Work will be done primarily indoors, with some outdoor work, as required.

Duties

• Test soil, aggregates, concrete and other engineering and construction materials.
• Ensures compliance with the quality system for all areas of testing.
• Devises and applies formulas for the interpretation and calculation of test results and makes recommendations regarding compliance.
• Performs related work as required.

On the Job

• Work is generally Mon-Fri between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some Saturday and evening work.
• Employee would be primarily working out of the Milwaukee office, although occasional support of our Madison office may be necessary.
• Candidate will provide own laboratory appropriate clothing and footwear. Safety equipment will be provided by GESTRA.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs, up to 4-12 times in a row, is needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
