JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a successful and experienced candidate to fill a Construction Project Manager position. This person is someone who can work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and upbeat individual with excellent organizational and management skills. This person would be responsible to manage construction projects from startup until project completion, who can develop project schedules and ensure each project is completed on-time and on-budget. The person who fills this position will be knowledgeable of all current safety policies and regulations and be able to enforce them.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years working for a commercial construction firm as a project manager
  • Hard worker, enjoys being part of a hard-working team, with the ability to work with clarity when under pressure
  • Flexible, out of the box thinker, with attention to detail
  • Always well presented and professional
  • Familiar and comfortable with Office365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel
  • Previous experience using a construction ERP such as ProCore or Sage Construction Management (Corecon)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills proficiency in English is a must
  • Strong understanding of project accounting principles and gross profit
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and oversee efficient, on-time and on-budget service to deliver high-quality and professionally executed projects that will ensure happy clients at every stage
  • Attend regular site meetings to meet subtrades and clients
  • Manage Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor and subtrades
  • Communicate & coordinate with the WDI team, clients and subtrades in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with the WDI Design and Pre-Construction teams as required
  • Manage and maintain records of all aspects of a project, including contract administration addendums, site instructions, change orders, and related tasks project procurement, project files, contracts, and communication using our construction ERP and other electronic systems such as SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Attend consultant meetings, virtually or on site, prepare meeting minutes and site review documents
  • Adhere to, support and enforce all Health & Safety policies and regulations
  • Require sub-contractors to adhere to and support all Health & Safety policies and regulations
  • Perform site supervisor duties on an as-needed basis
