RoadSafe is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to oversee core product sales, rentals, and services within the Greenville, SC area. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of outside sales experience and a proven track record in established markets. This role focuses on managing sales and marketing strategies, meeting revenue targets, growing the sales pipeline, and expanding the customer base. Success will be measured through revenue, profitability, order conversion, pipeline development, and customer engagement.

THE STARTING SALARY IS $80,000 AND MAY INCREASE BASED ON EXPERIENCE. ADDITIONAL BONUS OPPORTUNITIES ALSO AVAILABLE!

What You’ll Do:

  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings.
  • Achieve sales growth and exceed sales targets through effective sales management.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence.
  • Engage with Engineering Consultants, DOT officials and the Prime Contractors to ensure product and service standards align with market requirements.
  • Oversee contract opportunities with DOT and local roadway agencies related to company offerings.
  • Provide ongoing training to customers to enhance product knowledge and customer service.
  • Submit weekly reports highlighting sales data, pipeline status, competitive analysis, and key insights.
  • Prepare data for monthly sales review and outlook meetings.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager and/or Project Manager to manage rental assets, inventory, and turnkey labor services.
  • Works closely with Estimators for follow up on project bids, pre-bid pricing, post-bid pricing, and value engineering of projects.
  • Monitor existing product lines for improvements and propose new products for growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote the brand.
  • Update Salesforce with correspondence, sales calls, and project updates.

What We Need from You:

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience strongly preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 1+ years of construction sales experience preferably in road/highway construction.
  • Estimating experience in traffic safety or road/highway construction a plus!
  • Degree in Financial Management, Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in branch specific Lines of Business as well as knowledge of customers’ work types. Thorough understanding of state specifications for Traffic Control & Protection, devices, materials, and methods.
  • Must be familiar with the various equipment used within the scope of the operation and the standard costs associated with each piece
  • Ability to effectively communicate the scope of work, cost basis and margin in the bid review process, including detailed cost components
  • Ability to analyze historical results for market trends, labor, and material trends etc and integrate into the final bid.
  • Industry involvement through trade associations, coalitions with state DOT, or similar.
  • Understanding of financial documents including balance sheet and profit & loss statement.
