Description:

Ayrton Group are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us in our Consultancy Team Manager position.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Health and Safety Consultancy department and supporting several of our clients.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc (Hons) Occupational Health & Safety/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years Management experience in safety consultancy.
  • Experience of managing people and ensuring the companies values are lived.
  • Demonstrable evidence of strong commercial acumen and client relationship management.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying project goals and updates.
  • Excellent IT skills using Microsoft suite of products.
  • Must have a customer-oriented mindset to ensure that project outcomes align with client expectations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in project scope, schedules, and priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, support, guidance, upskilling and mentorship to the Ayrton consultancy Team.
  • Effectively organising, coordinating and managing the team so that productivity, quality, documentation, and work schedules, are managed efficiently.
  • Arrange and manage Consultancy Team meetings.
  • Review and sign off on timesheets for payment purposes.
  • Monitor the efficiency of work being delivered/time allocation & work with the Sales Team.
  • Review the returned paperwork/turnaround times & volumes.
  • Improve our existing templates and develop new templates when required.
  • Attend weekly Sales Team operations meetings and provide Sales Team with information regarding consultant’s time availability, scopes, and project management updates.
  • Provide details for larger scopes, including tenders, and overall future planning.
  • Work with our Accounts team on customers queries.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their EHS needs and requirements at any meetings you attend, help the salesperson define the scope and write a brief for the quotation, timelines and time inputs.
  • Provide advice on regulations, health and safety standards, and practices to both clients and salespeople of Ayrton.
  • Determine and help develop customized EHS solutions and strategies tailored to meet client-specific needs.
  • Oversee multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Undertake investigations of accidents and incidents when required.
  • Use current skills and develop more for delivery of the highest level of consultancy works.
  • Recruit new staff for the consultancy department as required.
