This is a 10.25PA post for a Clinical Oncologist, with a specialist interest in Breast and Skin tumours. This post is based at the Royal Surrey Hospital with weekly attendance at our satellite site at East Hospital.
Following a recent of review of our outstanding Oncology service, we are pleased to be expanding our medical workforce numbers to meet the growing demand.
The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust hosts a leading regional Cancer Centre, and we are seeking a well-organized Clinical Consultant Oncologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expertise in the management and treatment of patients with Breast & Skin tumours. This includes offering Chemotherapy, systemic therapy, and Radiotherapy (including Stereotactic). This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team providing exceptional cancer care in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.
We are looking for candidates who are on the Specialist Register for Clinical Oncology (or within six months of CCT date for resident doctors), have expertise and experience in Breast & Skin tumours, have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and continuous professional development, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

REMIT OF THE CONSULTANT POST:

Work with colleagues to provide a Breast and Skin oncology service.
Provide the oncology service for breast patients in the East Surrey catchment area and skin patients for the whole region.
Offer Chemotherapy and systemic therapy expertise , as well as Radiotherapy (including Stereotactic).
Participate in regular consultant ward cover sessions.
This remit requires a well-organized individual with good team- working skills and the ability to complete work within agreed timescales in cooperation with all staff groups and with support from senior colleagues.

The Royal Surrey Cancer Centre provides specialist Cancer and Haemato-Oncological care, including complex cancer surgery, to a catchment area of approximately 1.4 million people in South West Surrey and Hampshire. Non-surgical oncological treatment for these patients is provided at the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre, which is an integral part of the Trust.
