Description:

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in all aspects of the H&I service including clinical leadership of the H&I service, clinical liaison, strategic management, service and business development, teaching and training and to support the on-going development of Blood Sciences and Severn Pathology and NHSBT plus supporting an out of hours rota in a Consultant capacity in both NBT and NHSBT A broad range of experience in H&I will be essential along with a proven scientific and professional record, clear leadership skills and an ability to work well as part of a team. Applicants must be HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics and be a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in the same discipline, or be expected to obtain fellowship in the next 6 months
