Description:

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Container Infrastructure Consultant to join us. In this role, you will learn how to design and guide implementations of cloud-ready applications and deployment pipelines on large-scale container platform clusters. You won’t be expected to know everything on day one, but your ability to learn new technology quickly will be essential.
This is a hybrid office job that can be located close to our major offices in Waterford or Cork.

  • Constantly learn about new Red Hat technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
  • Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for business problems of our customers
  • Proactively and reactively look for solutions that will benefit customers and create new opportunities for Red Hat
  • Assist with project related activities (both technical and non)
  • Work closely with colleagues in a collaborative team environment, providing and sharing information at all opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your colleagues and our customers
  • Act as a trusted advisor at the client site and assist the project or technical managers in setting and delivering on expectations
  • Bring innovative ideas and enthusiasm to the project team while identifying new business opportunities
  • Maintain an understanding of industry practices and through project experience and training

  • Problem solving skills, good communication skills to convey information to internal and external clients
  • Demonstrate ability to find the correct resources and collect required information
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, positive attitude and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team
  • Technology experience like consulting, operations, help desk, service desk, development, and related internships
  • Experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative and with scripting
  • Experience with containerization, kubernetes and OpenShift is a big plus
  • As part of our initiative for exploring different work life balance needs, we are willing to consider candidates who are looking to work between 80 - 100% of the time
  • Comfortable working with customers and teams in a hybrid working model at customer locations, remotely, or in office as required by project needs; willingness to travel, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines
