The work you perform will enable you to work with exciting client engagements including supporting clients with focused research on the risks and opportunities faced by the clients’ operations and relationships across the globe.
Ideally the candidate will be - at a minimum - fluent in English and another two languages (3 in total). Whilst we’re seeking a candidate with fluent language skills and indications of an interest in research, investigations, and compliance, this is a junior role and full training and support will be provided in our research methodologies and report writing.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Undertaking online research in English and other relevant language/s
  • Gathering information on large numbers of both companies and individuals through online public record sources relating to a wide range of territories
  • Compiling detailed and accurate written reports of research findings
  • Supporting other ad hoc research and information gathering projects
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

CONNECT TO YOUR SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

A successful individual will demonstrate the following behaviours, capabilities and experience

Essential:

  • Fluency (spoken and written) in English and strong reading comprehension in two additional languages;
  • Good oral and written communication skills – precision and full fluency in formal written business English is essential.
  • Experience in education or work of formal research and writing (for example, research and essay writing as part of a degree course or journalistic experience)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw concise, evidence-based conclusions from research conducted
  • Creative approach to the use of the internet for research
  • The ability to pay attention to detail – ensuring that vital information is neither missed nor misreported
  • The ideal candidate will have a flair for written work and be able to produce high quality documents under time pressure
  • The ability to work well in a small team and to follow specific instructions given by the relevant manager
  • Ability to deal with a large number of requests at any one time and to work through them methodically
  • Ability to switch between several different tasks and respond to unexpected deadlines and priorities. Our researchers will be expected to work on more than one assignment at any one time and must have the ability to prioritise work and balance conflicting demands for work.

Desirable:

  • Prior knowledge or experience in journalism, corporate intelligence, academic research (for example in law, history, politics) or ‘know your customer’ type compliance roles.
  • Working with EE provides a mixture of working in the office, client sites and visiting third parties’ premises, which provides variety and a well-rounded mix of work environments.
