About the Role:
Job Summary
The Consultant, DEI will be responsible for serving as a programmatic resource for the organization, designing and delivering high quality trainings, coaching, and support to internal clients. The consultant will be expected to apply design, leadership development and adult learning knowledge and skills to enhance and facilitate Northeast Georgia Health Systems inclusive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
The consultant will work with leaders engaged in the challenging but incredibly rewarding process of creating inclusive spaces and equitable systems that allow their staff to thrive and to improve the world around them by facilitating peoples’ willingness to be vulnerable and open to confronting their biases through self-reflection to achieve individual and collective growth.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Licensure or other certifications:
- Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of consulting experience around building Organizational Development and DEI strategy

Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of adult leadership development and ability to deliver high-quality professional development design, planning, execution and evaluation
- Demonstrated strong personal leadership capability, including facilitating adult leaders, interpersonal relations, relationship building and management, and coaching, including building trust among adults and giving candid feedback to adults including engaging in difficult conversations
- Strong content knowledge (including evidence of proven strategies) in personal leadership and organizational leadership
- Background of innovation, preference to think outside the box, with an ability to drive change in the area of DEI and leadership
- Self-starter/self-manager mentality, with an ability to initiate work, generate content, and meet deadlines with minimum guidance and supervision
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource to the DEI Advisory Council and the DEI Physician Taskforce
- Recommend DEI strategy in all facets of the organization, including recruitment, people-development, succession-planning, and vendor utilization
- Design, facilitate and implement tailored programming and experiences for internal clients and partners;
- Develop and conduct assessments that will provide actionable data to the organization
- Coach and support on-the-job leadership experiences related to DEI
- Collaboratively set performance goals with partners and provide methods by which to monitor progress; oversee development follow-up process
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; lead client check-in meetings.
- Serve as trusted counsel to senior leaders regarding DEI issues and opportunities
- Support the overall goals of the organization as an active and engaged team member, communicating regularly with colleagues responsible for the other components of the work to ensure alignment
