What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Director, Delivery & Governance, Fraud and Client Account Management, the position will be responsible for supporting the Enterprise Fraud Modernization owner in managing and executing on the Payments Modernization programs. With a focus on delivery, the incumbent will identify fraud and security risk exposures and develop and implement suitable risk mitigation strategies to minimize fraud loss exposure for the bank while ensuring the solution is client centric and provides strong positive client experience. The main focus of the role will be supporting the delivery of transformational projects.
You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Delivery of transformational projects- Participate in the projects on the day-to-day project activities. Lead and support project planning and execution activities, including development and review of requirements and design as required, project suitability assessment for risk based testing, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities as required.
  • Operational and analytical support -Help identify people and operations change management, participate in planning and development of communications and training in order to support people change. Identify major areas of fraud risk exposures proactively through data analysis and consultations with partner groups including Retail Fraud Strategy, Commercial Fraud Strategy, Information Security, and product groups. Accountable for the benefit model, assessing cost/benefit of solutions based on needs/gaps; executing on benefit realization plan, and benefits tracking. Review new initiatives, existing processes, and programs for compliance with fraud management and authentication standards and policies and/or other recognized fraud control industry standards.
  • Communication skills- Prepare clear documentation consisting of narratives and data/process flow diagrams to illustrate not only the risks and impacts but also the proposed business solutions. Attend formal and informal industry meetings to support and influence industry fraud initiatives and to gather information to support CIBC specific strategies. Work closely with fraud contacts at other organizations to develop new ideas and approaches and to benchmark CIBC’s current capabilities. Liaise or attend fraud risk forums as required to maintain an awareness of fraud trends, technology and standards.
