What you will be doing
The Consultant, Disputes, will identify and implement process improvements, serving as a subject matter expert on dispute processes and their downstream impacts. They will support the Operations team by defining metrics and KPIs, streamlining reporting dashboards/scorecards, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes. Additionally, they will lead project engagements at the working team level, assist with process design, identify issues, and provide appropriate solutions.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Process Improvement – Conduct process assessments to identify improvement opportunities/waste. Quantify root causes and improvements using data. Recommend solutions that will have a positive impact on productivity. Develop control plan to measure impacts of implemented changes.
  • Problem Solving – You think in a structured way when solving problems, and organizing work and can analyze data/situations fully and accurately to guide or reach productive decisions.
  • Analytical – Able to organize and analyze large data sets using various analytical tools (e.g. Advance Excel skill, Minitab, and Tableau). Familiar with basic statistical concepts (e.g. distribution analysis, control charts) to draw insights and conclusions from data
  • Task Achievement – Able to manage time to finish assignments to deadlines and be able to flag any risks that may impact delivery of assignments.
  • Communications – You will have excellent communication skills and are able to translate technical details using good examples or illustrations to explain to others.
