The individual will collaborate within and across FTI’s Strategic Communications practices to support and advise clients. As a Consultant, you will be tasked with staying up to date on key issues and current events for clients, as well as the healthcare sector and broader macro news and trends. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

Primary Duties:

  • For Clients:
  • Have a thorough understanding of each client’s business, investment thesis, shareholder base and sell-side analyst coverage
  • Perform detailed and accurate research to underpin all client projects and deliverables
  • Contribute to strategic planning and messaging to support key financial, clinical, and corporate milestones (e.g. quarterly earnings, clinical trial readouts, regulatory approval, business development announcements)
  • Assist team members in helping clients develop corporate and investor messaging to differentiate themselves from peers
  • Monitor and report on broad financial markets, healthcare industry trends, peer companies, client stock movements and media coverage
  • Incorporate both quantitative and qualitative analysis and work with senior team members to make recommendations for companies’ messaging and investor outreach strategies
  • Obtain detailed feedback from institutional investors and work with senior team members to translate the commentary into useful advice for clients
  • Research and report key findings around peer and industry best practices
  • Draft client materials such as press releases, Q&A documents, and presentations under the direction of senior team members
  • Complete targeting exercises and set up institutional investor meetings for clients
  • Handle client account logistics such as drafting call agenda and recaps, distribution of press releases, set up of earnings conference calls and webcasts, corporate access events, etc.
  • For the Healthcare and Life Sciences and Financial Communications Teams:
  • Provide tactical support for new business pursuits as needed, including conducting research for new business pitches and with colleagues to produce new business pitch materials
  • Assist Healthcare and Financial Communications Practice leaders to elevate FTI’s Strategic Communications standing within these respective fields
  • Assist in building efficiencies within the broader Healthcare and Financial Communications practice teams by utilizing resources and leveraging prior relevant work for new projects that arise
  • Continuously build out and improve the Healthcare and Financial Communications’ internal processes
  • Additional Tasks:
