WE ARE SEEKING A DEDICATED AND SKILLED CONSULTANT TO JOIN OUR GASTROENTEROLOGY AND HEPATOLOGY TEAM!
The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology brings together staff from academic and clinical backgrounds in medical, surgical, scientific, nursing and allied health to work towards better patient care through an integrated approach to digestive health. The department provides a focus for education and research activities in digestive health.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Gastroenterology and Hepatology Head of Unit, as the consultant you will have a substantial role in the provision and maintenance of all aspects of Gastrointestinal and Hepatological Diseases and Sciences within the Surgery and Peri Operative Medicine Division at FMC and their regional links, with a focus on IBD.
Duties for the role will include:
- Design, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and improvement procedures associated with the provision of clinical services in close association with the line manager and considering the related needs of other Units in the Department.
- Assist with the planning of delivery of high quality GI diagnostic and procedural services throughout the hospital,
- Ensures provision of quality inpatient and outpatient care for acute and chronic diseases relevant to the Unit’s scope of operation,
- Budget preparation, monitory and reporting and adherence to resources allocations.
