Responsibilities:
The Specialist, Governance role is situated in the Technology and Operations division, which drives value by implementing robust and innovative technology and data solutions, as well as providing scalable enterprise services. Within T&O, this role is part of the Partnering, Quality & Integration business unit, which focuses on enhancing quality across the IAG group.
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to ensure that policies and standards within T&O are fit for purpose and encapsulate the prevailing regulatory and legislative requirements.
With a focus on data governance and the effective management of technology risk, you will monitor the external environment for changes in regulation / legislation relevant to T&O frameworks, standards and policies, and propose changes that balance the need for compliance with the achievement of IAG’s strategic objectives and risk appetite. You will monitor and report on compliance with the frameworks, policies and standards across the organisation.
In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the effectiveness of the risk management practices within T&O and across the enterprise, and the achievement of the “Manage our risks” pillar of IAG’s corporate strategy.
This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity and is based in Auckland.
