SHORT DESCRIPTION:

• Seasoned professional with 8+ years working knowledge and hands in experience in IBM MQ administration
• Excellent communication skills and customer interaction skills coupled with consulting experience.
• Previous experience in working with or as part of a globally located team (onshore-offshore model).
• Good end-to-end knowledge of setting up a MQ platform from the scratch by working with multiple teams and finding way around the enterprise.
• A go-getter who can understand the existing architecture through documentation or meetings with third parties, with a keen eye for process improvements and optimizing the way day-to-day operations are performed,
• Be proactive, challenge the status quo and provide consulting to projects who have engaged the Engineering team for automation of design, build, test, implement & Run services.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operational Support to critical infrastructure
• Installation and Configuration: Responsible for installing and configuring WebSphere MQ (WMQ) on various platforms, including UNIX, zOS, and Windows
• Infrastructure Design and Maintenance: Understand the complexities of infrastructure design and maintenance.
• Analyze architecture and security issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting
• Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and provide administrative solutions where appropriate. This involves tuning WMQ for optimal performance
• Security Management: Implement and manage security measures for WMQ, including access controls, authentication, and authorization3
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor queue managers, queues, channels, and other WMQ objects. Troubleshoot issues related to message flow, connectivity, and performance3.
