Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Consultant Imaging Systems, you will serve as a key Lifepoint IT resource for implementation and support of medical imaging applications across the enterprise. Primary responsibilities include performing as the project lead for implementing medical imaging systems, administering, and supporting enterprise VNA, PACS (with emphasis on Change Healthcare PACS, Merge PACS, and/or NovaRad PACS), CVIS, and technical medical imaging interfaces and related technologies (e.g., voice recognition). The Consultant Imaging Systems supports outpatient medical imaging and provides second-level support as an enterprise medical imaging subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests received from the Service Desk or other service resources. This individual ensures system design, interface functionality, and clinical processes are coordinated and functioning effectively. They also perform application maintenance and testing of application upgrades and fixes, and provide input to policies and procedures, training, and best practices for use across the enterprise. The role includes delivering hands-on training and assisting in implementing standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization plans for medical imaging applications and related technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers and supports the enterprise Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) and related technologies.
  • Serves as a key IT resource for implementing and supporting medical imaging applications across the enterprise.
  • Performs as the project lead for implementing medical imaging applications, with strong project management experience.
  • Supports PACS, CVIS, PACS, and technical medical imaging interfaces and related technologies (e.g., voice recognition).
  • Supports outpatient medical imaging.
  • Provides second-level support as an enterprise medical imaging subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests from the Service Desk or other division or facility service resources; provides status on user issues.
  • Works with enterprise subject matter experts and service resources, as well as the enterprise Service Desk, in managing the resolution of medical imaging application incidents and requests.
  • Ensures medical imaging system design, interface functionality, and clinical processes are coordinated and functioning effectively.
  • Collaborates with the imaging systems team and service line leaders.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
