Consultant in Cardiology with an Interest in Coronary Intervention-PCI

at  Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Cardiology services fall within the recently formed Medical Division. The Cardiology department is part of the outpatients area which comprises of all medical and surgical outpatient areas in addition to diagnostic and imaging services. The inpatient ward (Syon 1 on West Midd site , AAU on the Chelsea site) provides care for all cardiology patients including those who require non-invasive ventilation and step down patients from ITU/HDU. Our catheter lab opened in 2016 and currently performs a range of coronary procedures including shock wave, IFR/ FFR/ IVUS and brady pacing.
We undertake around 1500 procedures per annum. The cardiology service is involved in local and regional projects designed to modernise and improve outpatient services, some of which have received national recognition. At present the main focus of the directorate is to redesign services around the needs of the patient along Ambulatory care and digital pathways.
