Description:

The role of Substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWUH) is a pivotal position within our Neurophysiology Department. As a Consultant Neurophysiologist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialised neurophysiology services to our diverse patient population. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality care and ensuring the effective management of neurological conditions across our trust.
Conducting adult and pediatric EMG clinics, including delivering outpatient services and providing ad-hoc support for inpatients.
Supporting upcoming physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics and providing training as necessary.
Reporting on EEG examinations for both adult and pediatric patients.
Collaborating with consultants and clinical physiologists to ensure seamless service delivery and patient care.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities: As a Substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist, your main responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular adult and pediatric EMG clinics, providing outpatient services, and offering ad-hoc support for inpatients as required.
Supporting physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics, including providing training and guidance to ensure effective service delivery.
Reporting on EEG examinations for both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring accurate interpretation and timely reporting of findings.
Collaborating with consultants and clinical physiologists to maintain high standards of care and service delivery within the Neurophysiology Department.
Contributing to the development and expansion of neurophysiology services, including participating in service improvement initiatives and introducing new procedures or protocols as appropriate.
Engaging in continuous professional development activities, including attending relevant training courses, conferences, and seminars to enhance your knowledge and skills in neurophysiology.
Adhering to trust policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
Providing mentorship and support to junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning and development within the department.
