We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our public health team in Hull and help to achieve our ambitious vision for the health and wellbeing of the city’s residents.
The ideal candidate will be a proven strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to lead and manage public health provision and policy, working across a range of service areas and in partnership with other stakeholders and service providers. Effective interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills are key, as the post holder will be expected to provide public health technical/specialist leadership within the wider multi-agency environment. For this post you must be able to cope with multiple and changing demands and meet tight deadlines. A high level of intellectual rigor, political awareness and flexibility are essential.
This is a challenging but exciting time to be joining the team who have been leading the drive to improve health and wellbeing in the city. The postholder will be strategically responsible for a broad public health portfolio working across all domains of Public Health. The public heath team sits in the Directorate of Public Health and Adult Services. Led by the Director of Public Health and our structure and ways of working in the team mean this role will be flexible in terms of lead areas and we will support a portfolio where your key strengths and interests can complement existing consultant portfolios.
