Consultant Ophthalmologist with special interest in Glaucoma

The post holder will join a dynamic glaucoma team where there is a focus on surgical glaucoma. The glaucoma service has built a national reputation for pioneering glaucoma treatments and is at the forefront of clinical research in glaucoma, including surgical trials. The post holder is expected to contribute to developing all aspects of glaucoma service further, including the training of fellows.

The post holder will be based at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. This post is full time and includes SPA’s for supporting professional activities and administration. The post holder will be expected to provide a minimum of 4 to 5 clinics a week, with the associated admin time and access to theatres. Consideration will be given for time off in lieu due to bank holidays if the post holder required to work on Bank holiday or on call over a Bank holiday. This post will have on call responsibilities of a 1 in 7, the cover will be for the whole week.
