Description:

The Bradford Child Development Service provides services for children with neurodevelopmental problems/neurodisability including autism, school age children with significant neuro-developmental problems affecting their learning, Adoption and Children Looked After. Clinics take place at St Luke’s Hospital Out-patients department and in Special Schools across the city.
Complete medical and developmental assessments of children referred to the Child Development Service and reviews of these children as necessary
Contribute to Educational Health Care plans as required
To participate in multi-disciplinary autism assessments and lead as required
To cover Community Paediatric colleagues in the event of sickness or to help out if the workload dictates
To maintain and continue multi-disciplinary team work with a multidisciplinary approach with all children who are seen in the clinics
To participate in fortnightly Child Development Service Educational Meetings
To attend monthly Child Development Service Management Team meetings
To participate in the rota for triage of new referrals (the postholder will not initially be part of the triage team but may provide this duty in future)
